Hizbah is an Islamic streetwear brand from Mumbai. We make T-shirts that carry a short reminder from the deen, cut in heavyweight cotton and made to be worn every day, not saved for Eid.

Why the name Hizbah

Hizbah (also written hisbah) is an Islamic idea about accountability: doing what is right, and holding yourself to it, even when no one is watching. We liked that it is about character rather than display. That is the brief for every design we make.

Why we started

Young Muslims in India have mostly had two options. Ethnic wear that comes out for weddings and Eid, or western streetwear that says nothing about who they are. We wanted a third option: clothes you wear to college, work or the gym that still carry your values.

So instead of loud logos, our tees carry words like Sabr, Tawakkul and Shukr. Small reminders you see in the mirror every morning.

How we make them

Every Hizbah T-shirt is 100% cotton French terry loopknit.

  • Oversized tees: 240 to 260 GSM heavyweight cotton, drop-shoulder relaxed fit, screen and puff prints.
  • Regular fit tees: 180 GSM mid-weight cotton, true to size, built for daily wear.

We keep the range small on purpose. A design only goes live once we are happy with the fabric, the fit and how the print holds up after washing.

Who wears Hizbah

Both fits are unisex. We design for students and young professionals across India who want their clothes to say something without shouting it.
